P&G Organics Farm
At Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA) in the Salinas Valley, Isidro Perez of P & G Organics Farm is building a farming business rooted in decades of agricultural experience, and perseverance. Isidro has spent years working in the fields harvesting lettuce, strawberries, grapes, and other crops before launching his own operation. Today, after three years farming at ALBA, he has expanded from 1 acres to 5 acres of production.
As an awardee through the Southwest Regional Food Business Center, Isidro was able to purchase a trailer that supports the daily operations of his farm—helping transport agricultural materials, transplants, and multiple pallets of produce for local markets and distributors. Farming since the age of nine, Isidro brings more than 25 years of hands-on agricultural knowledge to his work and continues striving toward his goal of becoming a trusted, well-established grower known for producing high-quality food for his community.

“This funding helped us transport produce and farm materials more efficiently as our farm continues to grow.”
